The Munsell Rock Color Book M50315B indicates the range of rock colours for all purposes and is accurate for both wet or dry samples. Suitable as a reference guide or training publication it is used by students of engineering, geology, geography and archaeology as well as engineers and building contractors working on mineral extraction projects.

This rock color chart is a revision of the previously published Geological Society of America (GSA) Rock Color Chart.
