The NCS - Natural Colour System® is a global cross-industry colour standard system used for colour communication between designers and manufacturers, retailers, and customers. Essential for interior designers, architects, and colour professionals, it is based on how we perceive colours visually. Thus making colour communication straightforward as it is logical and easy to understand. Any surface colour can be specified and communicated with NCS Notation.
Following its launch in 1979, it quickly became the preferred colour reference for architects, interior designers, and product designers. Used for the colour of materials for construction projects and perfect for specifying colours for decorative paints and coatings. NCS is ideal for colour development of kitchens, bathrooms and home appliances as well as specification of colours for the automotive, aerospace and shipping industries. The range now contains 2050 colours including 100 new low chromatic colours requested by users to improve the system. Low chromatic colours are very important in architecture and interior design
The many NCS products are essential for designers, architects, and colour professionals worldwide to define, specify, quality assure and communicate colour.
Choose from tools such as the Lightness meter or Gloss Scale for controlling appearance to the Index 2050 – a must have colour fan deck, for selecting and communicating your colours.
