RAL DIGITAL opens up the digital world of colour with the RAL COLOR READER and its feature rich companion app. The RAL Color Reader is a small, portable tool with accuracy of 92%. It will measure your colours wherever you are and will find the closest RAL shade to match them. Regardless of whether you are in the office or out and about with clients, RAL DIGITAL supports you quickly and precisely to optimise the decision making process.
Measurement results are transmitted to the RAL Color Reader App on your smartphone via a Bluetooth connection. The App is free and versions are available for both Apple and Android devices, loaded with all RAL Classic, Effect and Design libraries ensuring your colour selection is always up to date. The Color Reader app allows further inspiration with the recommended complementary colours, colour schemes or monochromatic colour palettes. Measured colours can be saved with a custom name and colour collections can be created and shared with colleagues and clients.

Launched in 2021 the new RAL Color Reader replaced the RAL ColorCatch Nano and combines improved accuracy, portability and ease of use over the previous instrument. The RAL Color Reader can scan any flat surface of colour to instantly find its closest RAL colour match via Bluetooth and the feature rich companion app. The RAL Color Reader is also a more cost effective tool than its predecessor.
The RAL Color Reader has a highly quality optical lens and six white LEDs with a high CRI value. The powerful LEDs isolate colours and illuminate them equally, enabling an accurate measurement even at the first attempt. Suitable for measuring wall or floor colours, a piece of furniture, plastic or textiles, the Color Reader will provide the right RAL shade even on the smallest surface. Capable of measuring metallic effects as well as matte surfaces.
