We have our fingers and toes crossed, as we’re up against some pretty amazing other businesses in the international trade award category.

What are the Leicester Mercury Business Awards all about?

The Leicester Mercury Business awards was set up with the aim to not only celebrate success but to also recognise achievement and highlight the innovative people and companies who are based in Leicestershire. Particularly through boosting the economy and making a positive contribution to the local community.

The different categories are designed in such a way to celebrate businesses from across a broad range of industry sectors and are recognition towards the passion, determination, tireless energy and skill that goes into a top-performing company. A breakdown of all the categories in more detail can be found on the Leicester Mercury Business awards page.

International trade award

VeriVide are a finalist in the international trade award category. This rewards organisations that have generated a substantial and sustained increase in export activity. When the judges decide who will be the lucky winner, they will be considering many different aspects of the company, including what their unique offering is and their approach to business. Judges will also look at the level of international trade achieved and the measurable financial results of this.

Our VeriVide products, including DigiEye, Pantone and RAL Colour are exported all over the world for a variety of colour and appearance applications.

Our application also highlighted our commitment to use local suppliers wherever possible. Also it emphasised the longstanding reputation of the VeriVide brand within the colour assessment industry. In addition to this we are also proud members of the Made In Britain campaign which supports and promotes British manufacturing, enabling buyers and consumers, at home and abroad to identify British-made products.

One standout achievement was our ability to adapt and cope with the dramatic increase in production volume, along with all of the additional administration and support that goes with it.

Time to dig out our best suits and ballgowns…

We’re counting down the days until the awards final which takes place on the 27th April 2017 at the Leicester Arena. We can’t wait to meet other Leicestershire based companies and individuals that have had such a positive impact on Leicestershire. We can’t wait to celebrate other businesses successes and the fact that Leicestershire is a great place to do business!

VeriVide would just like to wish all the finalists in all the different categories the very best of luck for the award ceremony! The team will definitely be having a drink or two to celebrate!
