Did you know that VeriVide lightboxes are used to assess all sorts of products?

One product that you may not have thought of before is bank notes! One of our lighting cabinets has been spotted in the background of an interview during CBBC Newsround as part of BBC Children in need.

12 year old schoolgirl Kayla won a competition in which she designed a new banknote to raise money for Children in Need. It has been reported that the note will be a limited edition, with only 50 copies going in to circulation to make it popular among collectors and thus raise as much money for the charity as possible.

The interview took place at De La Rue, which is the world’s largest commercial banknote printer, printing notes for around 40 different countries. Last year alone they made in the region of 6.5 million notes. To watch the film follow the link to the CBBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/34495138

De La Rue use a range of VeriVide equipment to check the quality of the bank note paper and the bank notes themselves, before they are sent into circulation.

Our colour assessment cabinets are an indispensable tool for colour assessment, colour quality control and comparison of colour variation in numerous products from paper to textiles and plastics to glass and even food items.

For industries and applications where colour is crucial, our cabinets offer standardised viewing conditions under multiple light sources for important decisions.

By using our cabinets companies can ensure agreement and consistency – helping to identify any colour quality issues.

If you would like to find out how our colour assessment equipment can help in your industry or business please do not hesitate to get in touch: 0116 284 7790 or enquiries@verivide.com
